New Hampshire prides itself on being an independent state, yet because of Citizens United, outside spenders were able to pour $89 million into the New Hampshire U.S. Senate race in 2016. And it had a major impact on the election results.

Since Citizens United came down in 2010, lawmakers in 18 states and Washington, D.C., have passed resolutions calling for a constitutional amendment to overturn the ruling and address the out-of-control election spending distorting our democracy.
