WHERE: Rock St. Park, Portsmouth

We will gather at the Park to hear inspiring words from a variety of speakers, then we'll march through Portsmouth to Market Square where there will be music and street theater.  (We'll update you as more details become available!)

Confirmed speakers include Sam Borne, a member of the Portsmouth High School Class of 2022 (Top 10).  Sam was very engaged civically, being selected to be a US Senate Page for Summer 2020, the PHS nominee for the United States Senate Youth Program, attended Boys State, was a member of Civics Unplugged Class of 2020, “When We All Vote” NH Student Leader, volunteered for the Rye Civic League and New Hampshire Rank Choice Voting.  Sam also organized a student voter registration at PHS, helping to register nearly 40 students!

Saniyah Bolton (she/her) is an ongoing senior attending Exeter High School and the Co-Director of the BLM Seacoast youth division. From inspiration within her passion for equality and involvement in racial injustice she continues to progress her impact within her community by helping educate all on the importance of advocating for marginalized groups and those who are facing the impacts of oppression. While participating in and completing various panels, speeches, initiatives and more, she aspires to create more equity, justice, and inclusion within the Seacoast.

Sebastián Fuentes was born and raised in Lima, Peru and came to the U.S. in 2001, right after 9/11. He arrived in New Hampshire as an exchange student, and decided to call the North Country his home. Although he couldn’t vote, he began quietly getting involved in politics and supporting local candidates committed to passing legislation to protect vulnerable communities, including the Latino one. After many years, he became a U.S. citizen on July 4th, 2016 and promised his family he would give back to NH more than was given to him. He began organizing rallies and community groups, including the first March for our Lives North Country, the largest protest ever held in that region.

Seacoast musician and WUNH radio show host Carol Coronis, who has been firing up audiences with her energetic delivery of music in the Balkan/Middle Eastern, Celtic, rock, and American roots genres for over a decade now, will join us at Rock Street Park to start off our walk with some music.

Bring your water bottle (or use one of ours), we'll have water for you to refill.

Ample parking is available at the 100 Foundry St. parking garage, which is immediately diagonal from Rock St. Park.
