McLane Audubon Center in Concord, NH

  Youth in the Booth 2026

Come join us in Concord for a day of fun!

  Where: McLane Audubon Center

When: Wednesday, November 11th from 1pm-5pm

If you’re a high school student, teacher, or community volunteer who wants a say in what happens next in your community, this event is for you.

Join us for Youth in the Booth 2026! The midterm elections will have just wrapped and it will be an exciting time to investigate how young voters showed up this election cycle and how they can shape our democracy, in New Hampshire and the country, going forward.

  You can expect to:

  • Explore young voters’ impact in the most recent election

  • Meet young elected officials and organizers from across the political spectrum

  • Explore how young people can shape local decisions by participating in NH Town Meetings

  • Develop the skills to evaluate and manage media in an era of information overload

  • Learn how to activate and collaborate with your community on issues that matter to you

  • Empower more future voters through training on student-led, adult-supported high school voter registration drives in 2027 and beyond

  Who is this for?

  • High school students: Come ready to learn, connect with other young people doing this work across the state and leave with a ton of new skills.

  • High school teachers: This event is built for you, too! In addition to training for your students, we’ll share resources you can take back to your classroom, including lesson plans, tools and data that make civic learning relevant and actionable.

  • Volunteers and community members: If you are passionate about young people having a voice in their communities, come be part of the conversation, meet the people doing this work, and help us grow the network across the state.

This event is presented in partnership with The Civics Center, a national, nonpartisan nonprofit working to make student-led voter registration a part of every high school experience.
