We will celebrate Doris "Granny D" Haddock's birthday this year with a Legislative Luncheon at the State House in the cafeteria dining room. Come and learn about Campaign Finance Reform and Voter Owned Elections (and enjoy a delicious catered luncheon).
Our guest speakers will be:
Senator Sharon Carson. Senator Carson has served 12 years in the State Senate and 8 years in the NH House. Her Current Committees: Chair, Judiciary; Vice Chair, Executive Departments and Administration; Vice Chair, Rules and Enrolled Bills.
Former Senator James Rubens. Jim is an entrepreneur; former Republican candidate for U.S. Senate and served four years as a NH state Senator.
Dan Weeks. Dan is co-owner of ReVision Energy; former Executive Director of Open Democracy and a candidate for Executive Council. Dan is also author of Democracy in Poverty: A View From Below.
Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington has requested a proclamation from Governor Sununu proclaiming January 24, 2024 as Granny D Day. She will be on hand to read the proclamation.
Rodney Obien, archivist, Keene State College. Rodney will treat us to a display of artifacts from the Granny D Archive at Keene State College and say a few words about it.
