Please join us to learn about gerrymandering and a New Hampshire solution.
When legislators design their own districts, they effectively choose their voters. But shouldn’t voters be able to choose their legislators at the ballot box, candidates who reflect their concerns?
Following the 2020 census new district lines will have to be drawn. An independent redistricting commission can design district maps without partisan bias, allowing a broader range of candidates the opportunity to represent voters.
Come learn about the issues and how you can help create more equitable voting in our state.
Presented by Liz Tentarelli, President of the League of Women Voters New Hampshire, a non-partisan organization working for voting rights.
This event is free and open to the public. Co-sponsored by Open Democracy and League of Women Voters of New Hampshire.
